No invite for Dalton Freeman? What's up with that?

just wondering how much of these comments you have read...we are past that point...guess you want to hash it up some more....and just how many have clemson kicked off their team for infractions or just being ignorant.....oh and for your information smith will NOT be playing in the first game as will about 4 or 5 others on our team....your next comment will be...........

Seriously? You criticize Dabo for not yet announcing a punishment and that he should follow Georgia's example, yet Richt has not announced a punishment on one of his starters getting arrested for marijuana (a couple of months before Watkins arrest.) You may expect Smith to be suspended as we expect Watkins to be suspended but UGA's coach has not publicly said so.
I don't care what sort of petty insults you've moved on to. The hypocrisy of your initial post deserved comment.

If you care to post any public comments from Richt concerning the Smith arrest other than his "We're not ready to say anything publicly" comment from mid-June (3 months after the arrest), please do so.
I'm not criticizing UGa for having players arrested. I'm criticizing you for implying that UGa coaches have handled each of those arrests differently than Clemson has.

He's got the second best connections on the team huh? come on coach dimbo, where's the punishment... use georgia for an example, suspend or toss.....don't just sweep it out the door...and for you clemson fans who want to yell: it was just a little pot please remember the controlled substance, excuse me, the 2 controlled substances he was caught with.....

"use georgia for an example, suspend or toss"

For example, UGA starting cornerback Branden Smith was arrested on a marijuana charge on March 11, 2012. As of today, July 9, 2012, no discipline as been announced. The last Mark Richt has said about it was on June 12, 2012: “We’re not ready to say anything publicly,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said. “I guess that’s all I’ll say.”

Speaking of pot, have you ever heard the story about it name calling the kettle?

Monks Tater, If you didn't see it, there was a great article on Pryce in the NY Times a month or so ago. What a special guy!

Written on Who's playing, who's pretending? Clemson has top non-conference schedule among ACC, SEC teams:

While I don't dispute the conclusion, the method of using rankings to do this is flawed. Rankings data does not have any meaning when summed or averaged. (In an Intro to Stats class, it would be said to have an ordinal level of measurement.)
For example, by using the rankings data, a team that played #1Alabama and #201South Alabama would have the same total (202) as one that played #100LA-Monroe and #102Montana St. I think most football fans would agree the first pair presents more of an overall challenge.
Since the rankings are based on an RPI number, why not use those?
Alabama (48.49) and S. Alabama (7.43) total 55.92.
La-Monroe (17.20) and Montana St. (17.12) total 34.32.

Kerry, for homework, make a stem-and-leaf plot of the RPI numbers and describe the shape of the distribution. (Is it skewed toward the higher numbers?)

Written on ACC vs. Big 12, Pros & Cons: FSU's president takes a closer look at options:

Both Pitt and Syracuse have good football traditions even if they have had hard times recently. It possible that playing in the ACC will help them recruit better than playing in Big East.

Written on Clemson's 2012 slate front and backloaded with home dates:

The following two statement seem to be in contradiction:
"Clemson hasn’t played a home Thursday night game since 2002, taking a 38-6 beatdown at N.C. State’s hands."
"The Wolfpack haven’t won in Death Valley since 1992"
