Turn up!!!!! Nuke, no pressure big homie. lol. I say go as a football mind/alumn. But as a fan I'd love for you to stay! Either way you're A-Okay in my book.
very true ... Will Quandan Christian pleeeeeeeeeeeease hit the weight room and become more physical/violent!
Move Stephone to OLB along Steward on the opposite side- which will make us elite!
Cortez has to make a strong push to start... like how he filled in along with his size- underrated.
I def wanted Demarcus here at Clemson... oh well. North is a burner and very physical too. We have to snatch North and leave another slot open for next year- so we can snatch 2 or 3 top 30 WRs
I can't wait for good ol Ben Boulware to suit up for us! Hopefully we'll let him play the MIKE LB so he can get to both sides equally while knowing the defense like a iphone!
I'd love for us to land Robinson and North. Both big time WR's. North is more straight line speed burner while being very physical too.
Robinson i've been watching him since his Soph yr at Peach County. Playmaker deceptive speed and will attack the ball at the highest point without question. This year I was pleased to see him take short routes and turning them into large gains.
With these two and some OL/ defensive recruits we'll be closing in on a Nat'l ship again!
I agree to the max with the statements above. Like I've said in a post before... I'd like to see this line up: Hall, Roper, Harrison, McDaniels, Booker
With Filer and Jennings bringing in instant offense. Giving both the green light to shoot often with confidence.
Also, I'd like to see us play with more of an uptempo style. We have such a hard time scoring, why not push the ball off of missed shots and try to get easy layups? Not to mention, pick up our men 3/4 court to force TO's once and awhile.
** J.Bloss will give us that missing element when Milt leaves. It'll be fun to watch both J. Bloss and K. McDan on the court at the same time! Long rangy and athletic... although we need a go to guy to create off of the dribble(Juco??)
Jay Jay is a monster, I'd like to see him at both TE and RB occasionally.
With Kelly here and Watson coming = " I aint got no worries" lol
What's w/ all the Lil girl -cheating talk? I'm a former player and die hard Clemson fan in every sport. For a "man" to blame another for cheating when it has nothin to do w/ performance enhancing drugs or false points on the scoreboard.... Is pathetic and rediculous! Let the kids go where the heck they want to go! I'm from MD and played in SC - it's common get over it! We'll all continue to man up and play ball, softy.

Yes n deed, a guy who has been there done that on every level. Hopefully we'll learn to be the deepest man on the field and attack the ball at the highest points, while making for sure tackles.
Here we go Clemson!
in response to michtiger: Until Booker and Jennings get off the court we are not going to develop. My granddaughter has better and stronger hands than Jennings. Why hasn't some one taught Booker to pass, that silly little one hand pass or lazy shuttle has cost a lot of TO. There is absolutely nothing available for big men next year. We have Roper and McDaniels. Surprisingly Hall has slipped backwards. You can not begin to explain this game other than saying they played with no energy and simply did not care. Lets face it, we will get good players only by accident. If lucky a player develops after a couple of years, not like the big boys who start them on day one. What a sad state we will be in when the ACC basketball brings in 3 more heavy weights!

LOL @ the granddaughter quote. I agree completely, don't get me wrong- I like Brownell's tough demeanor. I would just like to see him tweak the system a bit. We do not have a roster such as BYU, Purdue, Indiana, Michigan State,Wisconsin etc. along with the rest of the "slow tempo-solid basketball playing teams". In other words, we have to stretch the floor by running and jumping. Occasionally slowing tempo down- if we have a cushion or taking bad shots. Other than that we have to use the talent we got.
My ideal line up: Hall-Roper-Harrison-Mcdaniels-Booker (Jennings and Filer coming in as instant offense FOR Booker and Hall). Pick up your man 3/4 court defensively... Defend, rebound and run-run-run! If It's not there, pull it out and set up the offense- looking for Roper off screens and Cutters in Mcdaniels and Harrison.
A menu for success!
Roper reminds me of a (Providence/NJ Net Marshon Brooks). While McDaniels reminds me of a(healthy primed) Darius Miles.
A great hire in my opinion- a tireless recruiter and heavily knowledged individual. Hopefully he'll be able to have some input during the LSU game.
Time time to target long rangy/ fast DBs
Very small gym vs a zone defense with poor shooting = Smart move CCU and "C'mon man!" to Clemson.
I really hoped we'd run them out of the gym. We're young and can't shoot. BUuuuut, we can defend and we're athletic. HMMMMM.... LETS RUN and PICK UP THE TEMPO!!We have to score easy buckets in order to have a chance to win = common sense.
Press and run... sounds like OPP a lil bit huh? Brownell has to TWEAK his philosophy in order to finish in the middle of the pack(conf.)
PS... Stop waiting and blaming Milton - He's an avg player that had a good HS career. Booker is average too, athletic enough to block shots. The two seniors are not "Good basketball" players. It's just that simple. We cannot lean on them - common sense. Let's ride the Freshman Roper and the athleticism of McDaniels.
Relax, I'm sure your attendance wasn't perfect either. As a former player, these things happen. Get over it... there are 100 "kids" on the team - so it's common sense as to someone will be in this boat.
Its nationwide there pal- not just in purple and orange.
in response to tw30241: Christian is by far the worst of the LBs. His body language on the field just gives him away as not being aggressive at all to be a defensive player.

Amen to that, he's softer than a wet cotton ball. Tony Steward should ge the nod In this game... Him shuey and Tig... Rotating Anthony among the 3!
Christian is a dissapointment and his game is too soft. Although he's get chance after chance- smh. Won't set the edge nor make a solo tackle, not to mention take on lead blocks. It's crazy to me - he's a tight hipped safety playing LB.
physical..... something ive preaching for 2yrs!
Smh- what's going on?? We had a chance to become relavent within the next yr or 2... Hope we can rebound and replace the scoring/leader they were.
Hush with the small minded talk. Demarcus is from south GA and is a baller. I'll continue to wish him the best.... I've been a fan of him and Peach County's high school program.
We need Marquez North now!!
LOgan Thomas and Emmanuel (FSU) are big athletic and overrated. Above avg college QBs - that couldn't quite get it done.
in response to Bigboots: Anthony? He has not even kept up with Shuey or Tig Willard.
in response to Bigboots:
Anthony? He has not even kept up with Shuey or Tig Willard.
Yep.. bc he's a big athletic 6'3 235 kid. Only a soph and he's been playing out of position. I'd line him up at the Sam and let him ball. At Mike LB, its more of the leader of the defense (QB).
Let him play without thinking too much. He's still a pup with big potential.
im a fan of tahj....
but he's a low budget Donovan Mcnabb. similar stature and ability. Stay away from the chunky soup...come back and Dominate your up to an easy top 5 QB next year!
12-1 go tigers
I cant wait for good ol BB to get here!! he moves well and strikes. im a big fan of him... hopefully we'll have him playing the Mike LB - bc he triggers with the best of them.
exactly the LB i like. Starters : Anthony, Boulware, and Steward please!
Lol @Boots! Just get the job done before you leave... Senn. That's all I ask.
Lets get him Steward on the field.... Then we're talking a whole new ball game.
Travis is a baller, no question about it. With his long rangy frame, he's a perfect safety. With an off season to get stronger and grade A's on film.. the sky is the limit. We need a ball hawk back there who can come up and hit as well (every yr).
Time for the plan B pill! I'm sure Dabo has a few guys in mind for his short list. But at the same time, I know its tough for him to sleep at night knowing the guys he put all his faith in.... are now hoping and willingly interviewing for jobs.
From here on out, I'd make my coordinators sign 3 year contracts. No ifs ands or buts about it... what ever happend to the loyal people like the BUD FOSTER's (VA TECH) of the world???
I'm not old school... im 26 but loyalty is what I was taught. I'm a firm believer in practice what you preach. The coaching changes do not benefit the kids, nor teach the meaning of family, respect, and loyalty.
As a former player, this would have me thinking about all of the possibilities of our new coaches... instead of playing the biggest game of the year (LSU).
I'll come coach and sign 3 years without interviews of any sort outside of our program. It's crazy out here fellas.
GO TIGERS!
in response to Bigboots: I keep looking for Steward, too. Maybe he could help stop the run. Willard is playing hard, as is Shuey. I want to see more physical, hard-hitting tackles from the defense, and from Steward in particular.

absolutely! thats what its going to take to get over the hump of some of these other top programs.
just put Steward on the dogg on field... before we lose him!
any other school he'd be heard of (nation wide). he's a dog and a attack first kind of player- something we def LACK on defense.
what a bum... clef foot
hope he doesn't take any recruits with him... #Holla
That weak pass rush.. and weak O-line vs pass rush..... comes from weight room. 85% of the trench play is strength and aggressiveness.
but you do have a point on weak play calling. Although i do not agree with the defensive schemes. LBs have to learn to trigger- Similar to Tig Willard. If Shuey contiues to start.. and Quandon Christian is out there too... we'll continue to be very avg.
Shuey is way more productive but than #34 but stiff as a board. #34 Christian is tooooo SOFT for me. either put him at a safety.. or strictly passing downs in coverage- cant blitz, tackle, or nuttn besides run.
#7 Steward pleeeeease at MLB - cancels the run game and can trigger and attack with the best of em!
See what happens when u force Star power and MLB on #12 Anthony. He's a OLB with great size and athleticism.
OLB - #46 MLB - #7 OLB- 12 = no running period!
in response to Bigboots: Agreed on the need for a more physical style of play. We could use a fullback in situations where we need short yardage. Also can be used in max protect, or to double a pass rusher who keeps whipping the tackle's rearend ( see Clowney). Also can be used as a de facto TE or as a checkdown receiver. Chad, if you stay, why not give it a try?

agreed - nothing wrong with being traditional once and a while. Look at your top tier teams..... Bama, ND, LSU, Florida State, etc.
I still like the guy as our OC... but I can't knock him for interviewing as a HC (outside of our conf). I wouldn't like facing him every year at NC State - glad he wasn't chosen. Wherever he ends up, he'll take a few recruits with him, thats the crappy part. But I just hope we replace him with some TOUGHNESS! Keep the spread, but cmon with the toughness!
awww man! I liked his game too... although more of a SG, I was hoping he could play the PG at 6'3.
Wish him the best.... but man- mid season?? why though? I transferred a few times in my college fball career, but not during the season. It must have been some tough practices going on then?? Everyone knows the games are fun.
Welp, hopefully we can use this scholarship to GO GET A BIG TIME EAST COAST SCORER(NY,NJ, MD, DC)!!!
someone who can can clear it out and create his own shot.
Welp, lets get back to summer camp..... By this I mean hit, hit, hit and run run run!
We have to match their Toughness at least a little bit!cannot turn the ball over and take some chances.
Leggo Clem!!!
At the end of the day..... If he wants to leave I can respect the man.
But as for a smart decesion.... That would not be wise.
Lacks: style of play, reads, accuracy, coutch(no signature from behind wins)
A great talent- a good quarterback. 4th round (reach)
**** Come back and build your resume( complete it)
Suspend... Do not kick off. He's a sr.... It's only herb.
Next time= it's been real (c ya)
Yeah this is crazy to me.... no excuses for not getting our play-makers involved until the wheels fall off. If you call an aggressive game... we probably give our defense some hope, or better yet help.
Start rolling Tahj.... away from Clowney maybe? lol smh
It's all good. We have no choice but to sit and take it.... 4 straight wins says it all. But there is no way we'll continue to go O-for. So hang in there fellow fans, and take it like men!
We shall return!! Next year is OUR year (on paper)... I have us going 12-1.
IFFFFFFF... we play with more AGGRESSION and Physicality! :) #ThatIsAll
in response to cuGIZ82: 100% AGREEMENT!!!!
in response to cuGIZ82:
100% AGREEMENT!!!!
lol you're a wise man my friend.
spice up the defense then... movement and reckless abandon.
not sit around and hope they dont run at us... or rush 3 bc its 3rd down. GO GET EM!!!
Offensively... score 60/game. If something works do it until the wheels fall off. Go for it on 4th down once and awhile.... WHY?! Because we 're bullies and we have no respect for anyone but ourselves.
Lets get nasty tigers!!!!!
All of this petty kid crying... Stop it!
Stay here in the ACC... Win EVERY GAME year in and year out..... then decide to move because of DOMINANCE! Don't just pack up and leave to another conference to be avg-above avg.
Wanting change because the conference is weak huh.... That means we should BOISE STATE/ TCU the ACC yearly.
Sit tight... shut up and lets go 12-0 and hope for a title shot multiple years. Then see how weak it is. People are pathetic to me. smh.
keep the coaching staff in tact and stop crying and complaining about the conference/opponents. We lose 2 games all year and everyone hits the crybaby button.
WE Must become aggressive-physical to compete.. that's it. Whether its Tempo.... movement, pressure, being nasty, or blocking/tackling until the whistle blows.
We must become Tigers... not house cats. i cant stand the finesse w/ out physicality. You must have some to greet success.
Leave Dabo alone man, I like him.
We lost because and will continue to lose to them and any other team.... if they're more physical than we are - Point Blank Period.
We're way too finesse on offense and defense. Pretty play will get you victimized when it counts the most. We're not aggressive what so ever.
Too soft. So unless we play a finesse team or a physical group with very little athletes, we'll be fine. Unless its and athletic bunch like Oregon, WVU(last year bc they had defense), then its a different story.
Texas A&M and GA are the same team... Finesse and physical. Not in our best interest. Wit that being said... I love my Tigers and bleed Purple N Orange.
WE ARE NOT PHYSICAL at ALLLL!!!!!
*U cannot run deep routes and go 5-7 step drops when u cannot BLOCK up front. (Screens, draws, and crossing routes PLEASE)
* WhAt is our defensive identity?!?! sit back on our heels and let their offense dictate the game?? #CmonMan
* GET SAMMY INVOLVED-Wildcat or something. at least let him break a sweat. Too many vertical routes.
* South Carolina is physical team... and we cannot match their physicality at all. Whatever they wanted to do both offensively and defensively they did it with no problem!
* This game had me highly frustrated 17-3 after halftime! What adjustments were made?!
* We hit the weights for a reason... use your strength and grow a pair! No man should dominate you 90% of the snaps.
**** Our defense makes me sick at times... ZERO AGGRESSION!
----- STOP with the Pass Interference crap ----Yes it they were terrible calls- but it showed we would've just punted the ball right back, why?
BECAUSE WE'RE SOFT! End of story!!
Texas A&M or LSU - GREAT smh. Two physical teams
We'll be fine if we contain Shaw and do not turn the ball over. Dabo is not right or wrong.. he just said his statement in an un boldly manner.
Its not the end of the world if we take an L... and its not the national championship if we win. All this means is Dabo can't get over the USC hump.. or he finally did. Either way we'll finish with 11 or 12 wins and position ourselves for a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RUN NEXT YEAR!!!!!! #TurnUP
CLEMSON 31 - USC 27
I respect it... its all good.
Leggo Tigers. Trust me, We'll bring in a top DB and D lineman.
