Tony Steward

Why be excited: Steward is a five-star linebacker who is an excellent tackler, and also has the athleticism to play all three LB positions, a key considering the Tigers' lack of depth there. Has the speed to cover running backs and runs "downhill" with great power. A key addition to any class.

You may not know: He is perhaps the most-recruited player ever from Pedro Menendez High School in St. Augustine, Fla., the nation's oldest city.

How he fits into the depth chart: Steward can make an immediate impact on the depth chart, especially after Brandon Maye's departure. He'll fight for early playing time both on defense and special teams.
