Why be excited: A tough, versatile lineman who has skill and power, as well as a mean streak - something offensive coordinator Chad Morris and offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell greatly desire in their linemen. He also prides himself on having excellent technique, with good footwork and hip movement.
You may not know: DeStefano is extremely versatile. He projects as a tackle, but also played guard, center, fullback, tight end, nose guard, defensive tackle and defensive end for Dorman.
How he fits into the depth chart: Morris and Caldwell need tackles to step in with the graduation of Landon Walker and Phillip Price. If DeStefano impresses in spring practice, he could conceivably earn a role this fall - especially if he displays that mean streak early and often.
