Why be excited: A true center, Guillermo has good power and actually played center in high school, a rarity. He could be the heir to senior center Dalton Freeman, who was a Rimington Award finalist as a junior. He has good size, and also good technique and form, and has toughness to him - a key to playing on Robbie Caldwell's offensive line.
You may not know: He was Clemson's first commitment of the Class of 2012, committing shortly after national signing day last February. The Knoxville native knows Clemson well; his grandfather used to take him to Tiger games as a child.
How he fits into the depth chart: With Freeman and redshirt freshman Ryan Norton ahead of him on the depth chart, expect Guillermo to redshirt unless he truly impresses and Clemson has a need in preseason practice.
