Justin Falcinelli

Why be excited: Falcinelli comes from one of Maryland's top small-school high school programs, with three straight state titles under his belt, and during his prep career emerged as one of the state's most highly-recruited players. He's a three-time all-state performer, and a member of the Baltimore Touchdown Club's Super 22. Clemson won a head-to-head with Maryland for his services.

You may not know: Falcinelli earned Maryland all-state honors as a defensive lineman as a sophomore in 2011, and was recruited by Stanford as a defensive tackle. At Clemson, he'll go up against his high school teammate, defensive end Ricky Leonard, who picked Florida State in a down-to-the-wire battle with Clemson.

How he fits into the depth chart: A likely first-year redshirt (as are all offensive linemen), he'll be front and center in the next wave of Clemson offensive line recruits, with a year's head start in what is expected to be a large 2015 class.
