Why be excited:Kearse could play anywhere on the field and make an impact. During his senior season at South Fort Myers, he played as a safety, linebacker, wide-out, and wildcat quarterback. At 6-4, 195, he's well-suited for the hybrid 'sam' linebacker/nickel back role.
You may not know: He comes from the same high school as Sammy Watkins, and is the nephew of former Florida and NFL star Jevon 'The Freak' Kearse.
How he fits into the depth chart: Clemson's need at safety will insure that Kearse gets a long, early look for what he can contribute in the fall.
