Jadar Johnson

Why be excited:By enrolling in January, Johnson has a chance to work his way into Clemson's playing mix next season at a safety spot. He was a standout performer on both sides of the ball, as a wide receiver and defensive back, at Orangeburg-Wilkinson.

You may not know: During his junior and senior seasons, Johnson broke up 28 passes, to go with his dozen interceptions.

How he fits into the depth chart: With Xavier Brewer, Rashard Hall and Jonathan Meeks departing, the depth chart is wide open for newcomers at the safety spots, where Travis Blanks and Robert Smith are the projected starters.
