Why be excited: For starters, he's a Daniel High product - a home-grown high school star who is following in the footsteps of players like Jarvis Jenkins, Nuk Hopkins and DeShawn Williams. On the field, he was a dominant high school player, a speedy, sound-tackling linebacker with the range to cover and chase down ball carriers.
You may not know: Greenlee grew up as a Tiger, as his dad, Larry, is Clemson's Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning. Larry Greenlee is a former standout performer in track and field at Clemson who now works closely with the Tigers' Olympic Sports athletes and football skill position players.
How he fits into the depth chart: Like all of Clemson's linebacker signees, a redshirt year is a possibility for Greenlee, as the Clemson coaches continue to rebuild the position as one of the Tigers' strengths.
