The Clemson University baseball team defeated Eastern Michigan 5-1 on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011. The win gave the Tigers a 2-1 edge for the opening weekend series.

Heavy rains and lightning in Omaha stopped the Clemson-Oklahoma College World Series baseball game after the end of the fifth inning on Tuesday's game with the Tigers up 6-1. The game is scheduled to resume play on Wednesday afternoon.

Clemson and South Carolina are two of the eight teams playing in the 2010 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. Both teams spent Friday, June 18 at Rosenblatt Stadium getting their team picture taken, hitting batting practice and signing autographs. This is the final year the series will be played at Rosenblatt Stadium as a new park is currently under construction in downtown Omaha. The day concluded with the official opening ceremonies. Clemson centerfielder Wilson Boyd, seen during the NCAA Super Regional, is the last link of current roster players from the 2006 team who went to the College World Series. A redshirt freshman the last time the Tigers went to Omaha, he did not travel to the series, and now gets a chance to contribute instead of watching it on television.

Clemson's hot bats drove in eight runs, starting pitcher Dominic Leone gave up one run over five and two-thirds innings, and Will Lamb collected a save when the Tigers needed it the most for a 8-6 win over Alabama in the NCAA Super Regional. Clemson advances to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, playing Arizona State in the first game.

Clemson won the ACC Atlantic division with a three-game sweep 8-3 finale win over Florida State. Pitcher Alex Fredricks improved to 6-1 for the season with four and two third innings of relief, only allowing one hit and striking out five.
