Several dozen former Clemson football players participated in the annual 'Sons Bowl' flag football game before the Spring Game in Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 13th.

The Orange team defeated the White team 34-26 in Clemson's annual spring football game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 13th in front of 30,000 fans

Clemson defeated Wake Forest 6-4 on Sunday when Steven Duggar hit a two-out, two-run, walk-off home run in the 11th inning to complete a three-game weekend series sweep of the Deacons in Clemson.

  • Ansley Cartee, a senior at Pendleton High School, was a guest twirler with the Clemson University twirling team before the Nov. 17 game against North Carolina State.
  • Ansley Cartee, a 17-year old senior at Pendleton High, practices at the Anderson Area YMCA. Ansley has twirled since she was three, earned world ranking, and plans to attend Clemson University. She will vie for the twirling team, which performs with the band before football games.
  • Ansley Cartee often practices baton twirling amid the noise of basketball players at the Anderson Area YMCA. She plans to compete for the role of featured twirler on the Clemson twirling team, which performs with the marching band in a louder and more exciting environment at football games.
  • Ansley Cartee has been a twirler at Pendleton High for three years, performing with the high school marching band. She was a guest twirler at a Nov. 17 Clemson football game and hopes to be part of the Clemson twirling team when she enrolls there in the fall.
  • Ansley Cartee said she makes a list of things to practice at the Anderson Area YMCA, sometimes in the basketball gymnasium and other times in the lobby.
  • Ansley Cartee, a 17-year old senior at Pendleton High School with world competition ranking, wants to be the feature twirler at Clemson U. in the fall.

The Clemson volleyball team finished the spring with a 5-0 record. On Saturday, Clemson defeated Georgia State, 25-5, 25-17, 25-15, and USC Upstate 25-12, 25-16, 25-17 in an exhibition tournament in Jervey Gym.

Dan Radakovich, Clemson University director of athletics, announced Monday that Audra Smith has been chosen as head coach of the women's basketball program. Smith, a 1992 Virginia graduate, has spent the last nine seasons as head coach at UAB.

Clemson senior running back Andre Ellington worked out in front of a couple dozen NFL pro football scouts on Friday at the Clemson indoor football practice facility. Teammates Xavier Brewer and Tig Willard and former Clemson football player Miguel Chavis also worked out.
