Clemson’s recruiting momentum appears to be just picking up as 3-star offensive tackle Zach Giella committed to the Tigers Wednesday night.

The 6-6 310 Augusta product was recruited by Chad Morris and had offers from LSU, Miami, South Carolina and Wisconsin among more programs.

He joins an already loaded 2015 Tiger o-line class.

Already on board are the No. 2 and No. 7-ranked 247Sports Composite offensive tackles in Mitch Hyatt (6-5 271; Suwanee, Ga.) and Jake Fruhmorgen (6-5 280; Tampa, Fla.). Giella will also compete with 3-star tackle Noah Green, who he joins rated as high as a top-300 player by ESPN.

Clemson hasn't signed more than two offensive linemen in one class since 2012.

The Tigers have 13 commits for the 2015 class now total.

He's a big one. ESPN rates him as a 4-star.

Now that he's a Clemson commit, ESPN will probably downgrade him to a 2 or 3 star.
Very encouraging to to see this emphasis on first-rate linemen.

The fact the Morris recruited him directly gives me confidence he is likely underrated.
