Clemson's bounce-back effort against South Carolina will take center stage today in Greenville's West End, beginning with Reedy River Rivalry Fan Fest, which begins at 10 a.m. on Main Street outside Fluor Field..
Food, drinks and all things Clemson can be found at Fan Fest, which is free and open to the public. Some features of the event include a pep rally with the Clemson cheer squad and the Tiger, a 2014 Orange Bowl trophy display and other family friendly activities.
Orange poms, koozies and 500 Clemson pennants will also be given away at the Clemson booth.
At 11 a.m., there will be a special Clemson Baseball Tiger Walk at the intersection of South Main Street and Markley Street as the team walks into the left field gate.
First pitch for the sold-out game between Clemson and South Carolina is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Fluor Field.
For fans without tickets, the game will be televised live, by special arrangement with the Greenville Drive and WMYA-40 TV. The game will also be available via webstream at ESPN3.
Clemson’s bus will arrive at the corner of Main Street and Markley Street at Fluor Field at 11 a.m. Like football gamedays, there will be a Tiger Walk into the stadium.
The game between the No. 3 Gamecocks and the No. 11 Tigers will feature a pitching match-up between sophomore lefthanders Matthew Crownover and Jack Wynkoop. In early season action for the Tigers, Crownover is 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA in 10 innings, with 13 strikeouts and one walk. Wynkoop is 2-0 with a 1.46 ERA for USC in 12 innings, with 16 strikeouts and two walks.
