Jeff Scott's reputation as one of the nation's top recruiters continues to grow.

Scott, Clemson's wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, has been ranked No. 7 among the nation's recruiting assistants by ESPN's Jeremy Crabtree, based on the Tigers' still-in-progress 2015 class of commitments.

Crabtree notes that while Dabo Swinney's staff successfully employs a team recruiting effort involving multiple coaches, "Scott has had a hand in nearly every recruit (Clemson) has pulled in."

Scott's recruiting efforts have been recognized on numerous occasions in the past, including a top-25 ranking by Rivals in 2012.

Clemson's 2015 class of commitments is currently ranked second in the nation by both Rivals and ESPN, third by 247Sports and fifth by Scout.

The Tigers have 10 ESPN Top 300 players, including six ranked in the top 125.

Alabama's Mario Cristobal was cited by Crabtree as the nation's top recruiter.

Someone from Clemson from the Athletic Department told me Alabama had 5 recruiters ranked in this top 10 poll. That's sort of hard to believe but, may be true. As a long time fan, graduate and supporter of Clemson, I am happy with what's going on up there regarding recruiting. I mean, how can you not be happy when we are basically number 2 in the class of 2015 by the 2 polls and 3 and 5 in 2 others. We have good players now and we are only going to have better players in the very near future. I personally have thought since the Orange Bowl we may have the best team we have ever had this year and we may very well be the best team we have ever had. But we are only going to get better thanks in a large part to Jeff Scott and all the other coaches. Also, Clemson has a lot more to offer players that a lot of schools just don't have. We have a good thing going right now and it is gonna get better.

I'm pretty sure with Alabama recent success they don't need recruiters. Win 3 out of 4 nattys and you have people lining up to play. Clemson on the other hand is just a few seasons out from 7-6 seasons and have consistently been gettin better and better, now that's the product of recruiting. Jeff Scott I hope you plan on staying a tiger for years to come.
