Spotlight on Mitch Hyatt, Noah Green as The Opening gets underway

Elite 162-man field includes four Clemson commitments, four recruiting targets

The Opening kicked off Monday at Nike's World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, with the arrival of Elite 11 quarterback contenders.

The rest of the elite 162-man group arrives begins work today, including Clemson commitments Deon Cain, Mitch Hyatt, Noah Green and Chad Smith.

This year's class, which includes 160 rising seniors, will undergo testing Tuesday morning and will then work out during the afternoon.

Hyatt and Green will be among those competing in the Linemen Challenge workouts on Wednesday and Thursday. Seven-on-seven competition will begin Wednesday evening and conclude on Thursday evening.

Brandon: Can you find out when and what network this thing is going to be on? Tim B said 7 hours of it was gonna be televised but wasn't sure whether on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. And he didn't know when it was going to be on. Can you find out? Thanks.

ESPNU is your channel for it live and a bunch of replays. The one that Chad Smith competed in last night replays at 1 p.m. and then the 7-on-7 competition is live at 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow.
