Lucas Glover will be attempting to jump-start his season when he tees off shortly before noon today in the Masters.
Playing in the event for the seventh time in his career, Glover has made the cut three times in hid previous six appearances and has an all-time best finish of 20th in 2007.
The 2014 season has so far been a difficult one for the 2001 Clemson graduate and Greenville, S.C. native, who was the 2009 U.S. Open champion.
Glover has made the cut in just four of 14 tournaments this season, and had missed seven in a row before finishing 14th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month.
Glover will tee off Thursday at 11:36 a.m. in a group that includes two-times Masters champion Jose Maria Olazabal of Spain, who has made the cut in 17 of his 25 Masters and has logged eight career top-10 finishes.
Also playing with Glover and Olazabal is England's Garrick Porteous, who is making his Masters debut after winning the British Amateur title. Porteous recently graduated from the University of Tennessee, where he played for the Vols.
