Clemson DT Carlos Watkins injured in car wreck

Clemson's Carlos Watkins tackles North Carolina State's Bryant Shirreffs during the first quarter at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Clemson sophomore defensive tackle Carlos Watkins was involved in an auto accident near his home in Forest City, North Carolina on Saturday. He was taken to a local hospital for observation and will be held over night. Initial reports are that he is free of any serious injury.

Multiple reports have a close friend of Watkins passing away in the accident.
