QB Pete Thomas: Since coming on early in the first game for injured starter Brandon Mitchell, Thomas has shown poise and accuracy in directing the Wolfpack attack. He's averaging 224 passing yards per game, and transferred into the program after starting 21 games at Colorado State.
RB Matt Dayes: The first-year freshman scored three rushing touchdowns in State's opener against Louisiana Tech - the second highest total ever for a Wolfpack running back in his college debut.
WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling: The first-year freshman ranks fourth in the ACC in receptions with 6.0 per game and is eighth in yardage with an 87.0 average.
WR Quinton Payton: He led the Wolfpack in receiving yardage last season with 798 yards and made the mid-season Biletnikoff Award watch list.
PK Niklas Sade: He's a perfect 7-for-7 on field goals this season, and kicked the game-winner last week against Richmond.
WR/KR Rashard Smith: He ranks second in the ACC in kickoff returns and sixth in punt returns.
LB Robert Caldwell: He leads the Wolfpack in tackles and ranks among the ACC's leaders with 9.0 per game.
NG Thomas Teal: With 1.5 tackles per loss per game, he ranks seventh in the ACC.
DE Darryl Cato-Bishop: He's the most experience Wolfpack player on either side of the ball.
RB Tony Creecy: He's a hard-nosed runner who won the starting job during the preseason.
RB Shadrach Thornton: State's leading rusher last season, he was suspended for the opening game of the season. He rushed for 114 yards last season against the Tigers.
LB D.J. Green: He's back on the field after missing the 2012 with an NCAA suspension after taking an illegal nutritional supplement.
WR Bryan Underwood: The Wolfpack's starting slot receiver, he had 44 catches and 10 touchdowns a year ago.
