MLB B.J. Goodson (concussion): (Goodson)’s still out. We ran him pretty hard yesterday but he still had a headache. You can only go at their pace and you can’t go to the next step until you check this box and that box and you go to the next level. I think he had a little better day today, but as far as our report this morning, he didn’t do as well yesterday. He’s still not there yet. We probably won’t know more about him until Sunday.

Center Tyler Shatley (foot): Shatley’s good. He’ll be ready to go. We’re nursing him a little bit. He’s fine and tough as nails. He could’ve played Saturday, but we have kept him slow yesterday, today and tomorrow. That’s a very painful injury. I’ll tell you what’s more painful is the shot that you get. That’ll lift you up off the table. I think he’s actually torn it now which is good. You actually tear it now or have the surgery is the best way in the long run.
RB Rod McDowell (concussion): He’s good and practiced both days (this week). He should be fine and ready to go for next week. We kept him in green because we didn’t want him to get hit, but he’s practiced full speed. He’s looked good.
DB Mackensie Alexander (groin): We just had him over there with the trainers. He’s just rehabbing. He’s doing fine and getting a lot of work in. We’ve kind of put him on ice and taken away that extra pressure of rushing him back. He’s back is when he’ll be ready.
Swinney said Thursday is a scouting/game prep day and the Tigers will have Friday off before the start of their regular game week Saturday.
