Former Clemson golfers Ben Martin, D.J. Trahan and Jonathan Byrd will be in the field today when the Web.com Tour Playoffs resume with the Chiquita Classic at River Run Country Club in Davidson, N.C.

The tournament is the second of four in the inaugural event, which provides a gateway to the 2014 PGA Tour for players on the Web.com and PGA tours.

Martin, by virtue of his second-place finish on the Web.com Tour regular-season money list, has already secured his 2014 PGA Tour card and is playing for seeding position.

Both Trahan and Byrd earned invitations by finishing between 126th and 175th on the 2013 PGA Tour. Trahan played in last week's initial event, while Byrd - who got a late start on his 2013 season because of wrist surgery - has joined the field for this week's event.

Trahan teed off this morning, while Martin and Byrd will play at 12:31 p.m. and 1:48 p.m., respectively.

The River Run course plays 7,300 yards.

With the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs taking a break this week, the Web.com Tour event will get good coverage on The Golf Channel. Broadcast windows include 4-6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 2-4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with replays in the evening of all four rounds.
