The Clemson Women’s Golf team will compete in the 12th annual Landfall Tradition Friday, October 25th through Sunday October 27th. The three day, 54-hole tournament is being held at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C - a Pete Dye Course that was site of the 1995 and 2010 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships.

Eighteen teams and six individuals will compete on the par-72, 6,204-yard layout that borders the Intracoastal Waterway near Wrightsville Beach. Of the 18 teams competing, 10 are ranked in Golfweek’s Top 25.

Oklahoma State enters as the highest ranked team at third. Fellow ACC school Duke is currently ranked fourth, while Arizona is ranked seventh and Alabama is ranked 10th. Clemson is ranked 13th, Iowa State id 14th, N.C. State is 15th, South Carolina is 19th, Michigan State is 21st, and Ohio State is 23rd.

The other teams participating include host school, UNC Wilmington, UNC Greensboro, North Carolina, Mississippi, Notre Dame, Purdue, Virginia, and Wake Forest. That gives the ACC seven schools participating, the most of any conference at the tournament.

Clemson is coming off of a top-five finish at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational held October 11-13th. Prior to that, the team finished second in both of its first two tournaments, the Cougar Classic and the Lady Paladin Inviational.

Ashlan Ramsey, the number one female amateur in the world according to Golfweek, is coming off of back to back individual wins at the Lady Paladin Invitational and the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational, and was named the ACC Women’s Golfer of the Month for the month of September.

Fifteen of the top-50 players in the Golfstat rankings will compete, including Ramsey, fifth ranked Julie Yang from Oklahoma State, and Alabama’s Stephanie Meadows who is ranked seventh.

Clemson will go with the same lineup it has had all season. Ashlan Ramsey, Sloan Shanahan, McKenzie Talbert, Lauren Salazar, and Jessica Hoang will compete for the Tigers. Taylor Ramsey will compete as an individual.

Tee times for tomorrow's opening round of the Landfall Tradition: Salazar will tee off at 8:30 a.m., Hoang at 8:39 a.m., Talbert at 8:48 a.m., Shanahan at 8:57 a.m., and Ashlan Ramsey at 9:06 a.m. Taylor Ramsey will tee off at 10 a.m.

Clemson will be playing with host team UNCW and Arizona, while Taylor Ramsey is grouped with players from Duke and Alabama.

Live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.

This tournament will conclude Clemson's fall season. The team will not be back in action again until February 14th-16th when it will participate in the Seminole Match Up at Southwood Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.
