Clemson's Garry Peters gets ready to tackle N.C. State's Shadrack Thornton during the second quarter at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Clemson reserve cornerback Garry Peters suffered a foot injury at practice on Wednesday and x-rays revealed Thursday that he has a cracked bone and will require surgery on Friday. He will be out for at least the Florida State game. His status will be updated by Coach Swinney on Saturday and, or Sunday.

Thats unfortunate, dissappointing, and kind of huge. I've seen this guy lockdown guys and break-up quite a few passes in games as well as in practices. Gary is pretty good and helps our depth well. I hope it does not hurt our secondary for this game but I like the rotation with D. Robinson, G. Peters and M. Jenkins.
