Scouting Florida State: trouble spots for the Tigers
QB Jameis Winston: College football's hottest freshman quarterback as been getting Heisman mention since the first time he stepped on the field. He's coming off a Walter Camp National Player of the Week performance against Maryland, when he completed 23 of 32 passes for 393 yards and five touchdowns in a 63-0 rout. For the season, he has a 213.9 passing efficiency rating, with 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions.
RB Devonta Freeman: He's averaging 7.1 yards per carry and leads FSU in rushing with 77 yards per game.
RB James Wilder: He punished the Tigers last season, and is averaging 5.9 yards per carry this year.
WR Kenny Shaw: He's averaging 93.2 yards per game and 20.3 yards per catch.
WR Rashad Greene: He shares the team lead with Shaw in receptions with 23.
WR Kelvin Benjamin: The big-target wideout is averaging 17.6 yards per catch.
RB Karlos Williams: He leads the Seminoles with six rushing touchdowns.
TE Nick O'Leary: Five of his 11 catches have been for touchdowns.
CB Lamarcus Joyner: The preseason Thorpe Award candidate is FSU's top cover man, and also leads the team in sacks with two. He's made 25 tackles and intercepted one pass.
S P.J. Williams: He leads the FSU secondary in PBUs.
LB Telvin Smith: He paces a balanced and deep FSU linebacking corps with 32 tackles.
PK Robert Aguayo: So far this season, he's 7-of-7 on field goals, with a long of 45 yards, and is 35-of-35 on PATs.
LB Christian Jones: He has 21 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.
