Scouting Syracuse: Trouble Spots For The Tigers
QBs Terrel Hunt & Drew Allen: Allen, a transfer from Oklahoma, won the starting job during preseason camp, but gave way to Hunt after throwing six interceptions in his first three starts. Hunt came on early in the Wagner game and has since completed 33 of 43 passes (76 percent) and thrown for seven touchdowns without an interception.
RB Jerome Smith: The returning 1,000-yard rusher leads the ACC in rushing touchdowns and is averaging 4.3 yards per carry.
WR Jarrod West: He's caught at least one pass in 18 straight games, and is averaging nearly 20 yards per catch so far this season. He had 43 receptions a year ago.
H-Back Ashton Broyld: He leads the Orange in receptions with 19 through the first four games. He caught 36 passes last fall.
P Riley Dixon: His 44.38 punting average will come into play as the Orange play field position against the Tigers.
LB Cameron Lynch: He's the team's top tackler with 22, including 3.5 behind the line of scrimmage. He also has an interception.
LB Marcus Spruill: He's Syracuse's active leader in tackles for loss with 29.5 in his career, including three this season.
DT Jay Bromley: Syracuse's sacks leader, he has three this season and two other tackles for loss.
TE Beckett Wales: Named to the preseason watch list for the Mackey Award, he caught 35 passes last season.
OL Macky MacPherson: A three-year starter at center, he's Syracuse's most experienced lineman and the grandson of College Football Hall of Fame coach Dick MacPherson.
LB Dyshawn Davis: Working in tandem with Spruill, he's a big-time playmaker, with 25.5 tackles for loss in his career.
CB Keon Lyn: The senior corner ranked in the top six in the Big East in both interceptions and PBUs last season.
