The Buffalo Bills are in make-do mode at running back as they prepare for a quick-turnaround Thursday night game against the Cleveland Browns.
Both C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson sustained injuries during the Bills' 23-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens - a sprained ankle by Spiller, and a sprained MCL by Jackson.
Both returned to the game on Sunday after suffering their injuries, though Spiller limped off the field at the conclusion.
Spiller rushed 23 times for 77 yards against the Ravens.
"I'm going to do as much treatment as I can to get ready for Thursday, but it's a short week, so it's going to be tough," Spiller said. "If I can go out there at least 85 or 90 percent, I'm going to play."
Spiller, who left last week's game against the New York Jets with a bruised thigh, said post-game x-rays revealed no structural damage to his ankle.
Meanwhile, Spiller's former Clemson teammate, Andre Ellington, continues to work his way into the thick of the backfield mix with the Arizona Cardinals.
Ellington rushed four times for 29 yards, including a 25-yard run, and caught three passes for 22 yards in the Cardinals' 13-10 come-from-behind victory over the Tampa Bay Bucs on Sunday.
Jaron Brown also had a reception for 19 yards for the Cardinals, while Da'Quan Bowers made one stop for Tampa Bay.
Brandon Thompson made three solo tackles, including one behind the line of scrimmage, in the Bengals' 17-6 loss to Cleveland.
Kavell Conner broke up a pass for the Indianapolis Colts in their 37-3 rout of Jacksonville. Andre Branch had one tackle for the Jaguars.
DeAndre Hopkins had two receptions for 27 yards in the Houston Texans' 23-20 overtime loss to Seattle. Byron Maxwell had four solo tackles for the Seahawks.
Coty Sensabaugh had four tackles, including three solo, for the Tennessee Titans in their 38-13 win over the New York Jets. He also broke up a pass.
Jacoby Ford averaged 7.5 yards on two punt returns and had one kickoff return for 25 yards in Oakland's 24-14 loss to Washington.
Marcus Gilchrist had four tackles, including two solo, and a PBU in the San Diego Chargers' 30-21 victory over Dallas. Crezdon Butler made one stop for the Chargers.
