As long as Florida State and Clemson keep winning, the table now sets up well for the ACC to both play for the national championship and nab a second BCS bowl slot.

Stanford's victory over No. 2 Oregon Thursday night opens has implications all down the line.

If FSU takes care of its business Saturday at Wake Forest, the Seminoles should move solidly into the No. 2 spot in the BCS Standings behind Alabama, and winning out should be enough to put Jimbo Fisher's team into the national championship game.

In his latest projections, CBSSports' Jerry Palm has both Clemson and South Carolina playing in BCS bowls: the Tigers in the Orange Bowl against Oregon, and the Gamecocks in a Sugar Bowl rematch against Central Florida.

The Orange Bowl has the top pick among the other BCS bowls this season, followed by the Sugar and Fiesta.

CBSSports' Other BCS bowl projections include Baylor against Fresno State in the Fiesta Bowl, and Stanford against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl.

Here are some of Palm's other projections of interest:

Georgia vs. Michigan State in the Outback Bowl

Miami vs. Missouri in the Chick-fil-A Bowl

North Carolina vs. Washington in the Sun Bowl

Duke vs. Vanderbilt in the Independence Bowl

Maryland vs. Auburn in the Music City Bowl

Virginia Tech vs. Louisville in the Russell Athletic Bowl

Georgia Tech vs. Houston in the Belk Bowl

I don't think this guy has a grasp on reality. I doubt seriously if the Sugar will take a 3 loss team and they will not take a 2 loss SC over whomever loses the SEC championship game. And if SC goes to the SEC championship game and lose they will have 3 loses and then the Sugar Bowl will jump all over a 2 lose Auburn. If Clemson wins the next 3 games we will go to the Orange Bowl unless Florida St loses a game which I don't think will happen. Clemson could get knocked out of a BCS bowl if Florida St loses the ACC championship game. That would put FSU as an at-large and knock us out.

FSU losing would nto us out of Orange but not BCS... a one loss Clemson team should still being the top 6 of the BCS.
A one loss Alabama or Oregon would likely be picked ahead of us as an at large. If FSU in Orange we might get picked for Sugar.

Who would FSU possible lose to in the rest of the season? I think that is the least likely event we need to worry about. Even if they play VT instead of Miami for the ACC eventually, they will win by a large margin.
