Ready to 'go, go, go,' Dabo Swinney laments another practice day in shorts

'But we'll get in lot of tempo and good teaching. We work against each other pretty well'

Dabo Swinney likes just about everything spring practice has to offer.

Except for another day in shorts.

"Getting back on the practice field is what it's all about for me," Swinney said after the Tigers' first workout Wednesday evening. "I don't really like the shorts part of it, though. You have to start somewhere, but you're just so limited in what you can do.

"Now if it was fall, you get into certain modes, and you're ready for a shorts day. But when you come out for spring ball, you're ready to go, go, go. But you have to whoa, whoa, whoa because you're in shorts.

"But we'll get in lot of tempo and good teaching. We work against each other pretty well."

Clemson will practice the next two days, take Sunday off, and then will be back on the field next Monday and Wednesday. The Tigers will then be off 11 days for spring break, before resuming March 25 with nine practices leading up to the Orange-White spring game on April 13.
