Forget the so-called 'measurables.'
If Dabo Swinney was choosing sides for a pick-up game, or an NFL team, he said weeks ago that his first-choice wide receiver would be DeAndre Hopkins.
After sorting through this year's crop of draft-eligible wide-outs, apparently others are coming to much of the same conclusion.
The website network SB Nation has tabbed Hopkins as its No. 1 receiver for the 2013 draft.
Here's some of what the website's editor's had to say:
"DeAndre Hopkins of Clemson is the No. 1 wide receiver on our board entering April's draft. While he lacks the elite athleticism some of the other prospects in this class have shown, Hopkins has consistently shown an ability to get separation and make tough catches. Few wide receivers have the kind of body control Hopkins has shown.
"The rest of the group is filled with question marks. Keenan Allen has his knee injury, Tavon Austin his size and Cordarrelle Patterson his unrefined route tree.
"It should be an interesting group to watch come off the board in April."
Hopkins is one of six ACC receivers listed among the nation's top 36 by SB Nation. Others include No. 24 Marcus Davis of Virginia Tech, No. 25 Connor Vernon of Duke, No. 28 Erik Highsmith of North Carolina, No. 29 Corey Fuller of Virginia Tech, and No. 34 Rodney Smith of Florida State.
