CU baseball recruit Austin Meadows to sign $3 million deal with Pirates

Center fielder from Grayson High will reporteedly receive full slot-value bonus

Austin Meadows, a Clemson baseball signee who was a top-10 pick in the Major League Draft, has come to terms with the Pittsburgh Pirates for full slot value, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting.

Meadows, a power-hitting outfielder from Grayson High in Loganville, Ga., will undergo a physical today, and the deal could be officially announced by this afternoon.

Meadows was expected to agree to a bonus at or near $3,029,600, which Baseball America reported was the assigned slot value for the No. 9 selection.
