After a week of rest and coming off his best performance of the season, Jonathan Byrd will be back on the course at the PGA Tour's Travelers Championship at Cromwell, Conn. this afternoon, paired with former Clemson teammate Lucas Glover for the first two rounds.

Also in the field is D.J. Trahan, who'll go off two groups later with Troy Matteson and Fabian Gomez.

Byrd, who is working his way back into form after being sidelined for more than five months because of wrist surgery, tied for 10th at the FedEx St. Jude Classic two weeks ago in Memphis.

Four other former Tigers will be in action this week at the Web.com Tour's Rex Hospital Open in Raleigh, N.C.

Going off first this morning, with 6:50 a.m. tee times, were Kevin Johnson off No. 1 at TPC Wakefield, and Sam Saunders, off No. 10. Brian Duncan began his round at 7:50 a.m., and Ben Martin will play this afternoon at 1:10 p.m.

Martin currently ranks 30th on the Web.com Tour money list for the season.

Playing in the eGolf Professional Tour's Mimosa Hills Open at Morganton, N.C. are Tanner Ervin and Crawford Reeves. Ervin currently ranks 10th on the eGolf money list. Reeves, a four-year starter for the Tigers, is beginning his professional career after graduating from Clemson in May.
