Former Clemson All-American Ben Martin has been named the Player of the Month by the Tour for June.

Martin won the United Leasing Championship in Newburg, IN, and finished fourth at the Rex Hospital Invitational in Raleigh, NC.

Martin, a Greenwood, S.C. native, has now finished in the top 15 in six of his last eight events and has moved to fourth on the tour’s money list. He's virtually assured of earning his 2014 PGA Tour card via a top-25 finish on the money list.

So far this year Martin has played in 13 events and made the cut 10 times. He has seven top 25 finishes and three top 10s, and $208,305 in earnings. He has a 69.58 stroke average for the year, fourth best on tour, and is first on tour in greens in regulation at 75.86 percent.

Martin was an honorable mention All-American at Clemson in 2010 and played in the 2010 Masters after a second-place finish at the 2009 US Amateur. He was a starter on Clemson’s 2008 team that finished fifth in the nation and was a three-time All-ACC selection on the course and a three-time Academic All-ACC choice.
