Spencer Adams of the Clemson men’s track & field team was named ACC Performer of the Week on Tuesday by the league office. Adams won the 60-meter hurdles last weekend at the Auburn Indoor Invitational, which was held in Birmingham, AL.

After running a time of 7.95 to win his preliminary heat, the red-shirt senior outclassed the field in the final to a time of 7.74. It was his second victory of the young season, coming after a winning time of 7.62 to open the year at the Orange & Purple Classic on Dec. 1. Adams currently ranks atop the NCAA leaderboard in the 60 hurdles, a tenth of a second ahead of his closest competitor.
