Andre Ellington, DeAndre Hopkins and Malliciah Goodman are among 333 players who have received official invitations to the NFL Scouting Combine, which will be held Feb. 23-26 in Indianapolis.

The list of invitees includes 60 defensive backs, 58 offensive linemen, 54 defensive linemen, 39 wide receivers, 38 running backs, 35 linebackers, 19 tight ends, 16 quarterbacks and 14 special teams players.

Ellington and Hopkins will have their workouts on Sunday, Feb. 24, while Goodman will work out for scouts on Monday, Feb. 25. Portions of the Combine will be televised by the NFL Network.

NFL.com lists both Ellington and Hopkins among the top five players at their positions.

Ellington is listed fifth among running backs, behind Gio Bernard of North Carolina, Eddie Lacy of Alabama, Le'Veon Bell of Michigan State and Montee Ball of Wisconsin.

Hopkins is listed as the No. 4 wide receiver behind Cal's Keenan Allen, Cordarrelle Patterson of Tennessee and Robert Wood of Southern Califfornia.

Other ACC players listed among the top five at their positions include FSU's EJ Manuel (No. 5 QB), UNC's Jonathan Cooper (No. 2 center/guard), FSU's Bjoern Werner (No. 2 defensive end), UNC's Sylvester Williams (No. 5 defensive tackle), UNC's Kevin Reddick (No. 4 inside linebacker), and FSU's Xavier Rhodes (No. 2 cornerback).

What about Rashard Hall? I recall someone saying he was called out as one to watch by Jerry Glanville, the coach for his side, in an interview during that renewed second tier all-star bowl game (cannot remember the name right now.....). Surely it was Glanville's way of telling scouts to give him another look.
