Clemson adds fifth 2014 commit in OT Taylor Hearn

Under 48 hours before the 2013 recruiting cycle ends, Clemson added its fifth pledge for 2014.

Williston-Elko offensive tackle Taylor Hearn (6-5 305) committed to the Tigers, over an offer from North Carolina extended last November.

The Williston, S.C. product is currently unranked at his position by recruiting sites, but visited Clemson on Junior Day over the weekend.

He joins 2014 commits Dalvin Cook (4-star RB), Deshaun Watson (4-star QB), Jae’lon Oglesby (4-star RB) and Cannon Smith (No. 8 TE by Scout).

Yeah. (No emotion). A 16/17 year old promises to come to Clemson (or any school) but that promise isn't binding until a year and two days from now. Whatever. Media is part of the problem with recruiting. While i care about Clemson, and its recruiting, this type of coverage the past several years makes recruiting a joke. Let me know when they commit, as in sign the letter of intent next year. Until then, let the kid worry about his next high school season.
