Former Clemson star and U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover withdrew from The Barclays on Friday after playing three holes in the second round, citing a wrist injury.

Glover, who came into the week ranked 107th in the FedEx Cup, had opened with an even-par 71, despite playing with a broken toe he suffered last week in an accident at home.

Glover, who is a three-time winner on TOUR, including the 2009 U.S. Open, will not be eligible for the other three Playoffs events.

I hate to see Lucas withdrawing from the Barclay's. I hope his wrist will be ok. I hope he comes back next year with the promise and the game he use to have. Lucas is pretty good and is resilient, too. He'll be back and have his A game with him.
