All they have is a foot in the door.

But for six undrafted Tigers, it's a start.

Center Dalton Freeman, wide receiver Jaron Brown, tight end Brandon Ford, linebacker Jonathan 'Tig' Willard, kicker Spencer Benton and safety Xavier Brewer have all latched on with NFL teams as free agents in the aftermath of the 2013 NFL draft.

Freeman will get his shot with the New York Jets, whose head coach, Rex Ryan, has been a frequent visitor to Clemson over the past several months, including Clemson's Pro Day, in which Freeman turned in a solid performance. Freeman was a three-time finalist for the Rimington Award as the nation's top center.

Ford, who last season tied Dwayne Allen's year-old record for TD receptions by a Clemson tight end, has signed with the New England Patriots.

Brown will join Andre Ellington in the preseason camp of the Arizona Cardinals.

Brewer and Benton were signed by the Dallas Cowboys and Willard by the Tennessee Titans.
