Player Notes: 29th rushing TD for Ellington, 12th interception for Hall

Boyd gets fifth 300-yard game; Hopkins has 26 catches for season

Clemson-Furman player notes...

* Tajh Boyd was 20-for-29 passing for 310 yards and two touchdowns. With those two touchdown passes, Boyd moves into sole possession of second place on the Clemson career passing touchdowns list with 43 career touchdown passes. He now trails only Charlie Whitehurst (49) in career touchdown passes.

* With his 310 passing yards, Boyd now has five career 300+ yard passing games. Charlie Whitehurst is only player in Clemson history to have more with eight career 300+ yard passing games. His 310 passing yards are the most for Boyd since he had 343 passing yards against Wake Forest last season.

* Boyd now has 4,904 career passing yards, putting him fifth all-time in Clemson history.

* Rashard Hall intercepted his second pass of the season and 12th of his career in today’s game. His 12 interceptions put him into a tie for sixth place in school history for career interceptions. He also led Clemson in tackles with nine.

* Andre Ellington had 15 carries for 59 yards and two touchdowns. He has now had multiple rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.

* Ellington has four rushing touchdowns on the season and 29 for his career, moving him into sixth place on the Tigers’ list of career leaders. Fred Cone is next ahead of him with 30 from 1948-50.

* DeAndre Hopkins had seven receptions for 95 receiving yards in today’s game. He leads the Tigers in receiving this season with 26 receptions for 319 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

* Sammy Watkins recorded the first rushing touchdown of his career on a 58-yard run, the longest rush of his career, on the first play of the second quarter. He finished the game with four receptions for 52 receiving yards.

* Chandler Catanzaro made two field goals in the first half to tie the

Clemson record of consecutive field goals made with 14. He is tied with Obed Ariri who made 14 in a row in 1980 and set a national record at the time. Catanzaro has made all six field goals that he has attempted this season.

* Tony Steward had acareer-high seven tackles in today’s game.

* Quandon Christian recorded his first interception of the season and the second of his career in the third quarter. He also recorded six tackles.

* Martavis Bryant had a 39-yard reception for a touchdown. He has now scored touchdowns in back-to-back games. Bryant has two receptions this season and both been for touchdowns.
