Tajh Boyd: What a bounce-back...five first-half touchdown passes and a school-record 428 yards passing, breaking Charlie Whitehurst's mark of 420. He continues to run with purpose, as well, with 13 carries for 63 yards, minus sack losses.

Sammy Watkins: Any more questions? Watkins is back in a big way - seven catches for a school-record 202 yards, breaking the record that DeAndre Hopkins set earlier this season.

Adam Humphries: He's everywhere...part of a wave of pass-catchers the Tigers released on the Deacons, and then he finished the game playing in the Tigers' secondary.

Cortez Davis: Extended playing time and a fumbling-causing hit for the Tigers' promising 6-foot-3 corner.

Brandon Ford: He got things started with a soft-hands catch and touchdown dive.

DeAndre Hopkins: The Deacons picked their poison, tried to take away the ACC's leading receiver, and he still made enough big plays to make a difference. He finished with six catches for 64 yards and caught a TD pass for the fifth straight game.

Xavier Brewer: He blew up Wake's early attempt at an option pitch, nearly for a touchdown interception.

Tig Willard: With the Tigers leading just 14-0, he slammed the door on a Deacon drive, first fighting off a block for a tackle on a short pass, and then sacking Deacon QB Tanner Price. He finished with a team-high eight tackles

Sam Cooper: A 12-yard touchdown grab in traffic.

Vic Beasley: He showed his speed off the corner, and closing, with a pair of sacks.

Charone Peake: Great concentration while hauling in a two-yard TD fade from Tajh Boyd.

DeShawn Williams: He helped move the middle and finished with five tackles and a tackle for loss.

Stephone Anthony: His four tackles included a sack and a forced fumble.

Bradley Pinion: He was 3-for-3 on kickoff touchbacks.

Travis Blanks: Three tackles and 2 PBUs for the first-year freshman.

Martavis Bryant: Three catches, two heavily contested, for 82 yards.

Jaron Brown: Three receptions for 40 yards.

Excellent first half! We needed to put our foot on the gas in the second half but the defense did a great job holding them to 13 points!
