Clemson is ranked ninth in this week's USA Today Coaches' Poll headed into its rivalry showdown against No. 12 South Carolina.
Notre Dame took over the top spot, while Alabama and Georgia moved into the No. 2 and 3 positions. Oregon fell to fourth after losing to Stanford, while Kansas State tumbled from No. 1 to No. 8 after being blown out by Baylor.
Florida State and Florida are ranked fifth and sixth headed into their season-ending game, while LSU is seventh, Clemson ninth and Texas A&M 10th.
Stanford heads up the second 10, followed by South Carolina, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, UCLA, Oregon State, Louisville, Rutgers and Michigan. Oklahoma State is 21st, followed by Boise State, Northern Illinois, Mississippi State and Kent State.
In The Associated Press Top 25 - which is not part of the BCS formula - Clemson slipped one spot, from 11th to 12th. South Carolina is ranked 13th.
