The 15th-ranked Clemson women’s tennis team will play 10th-ranked and 8th-seeded Michigan on Friday at 9 am in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships at the Boar’s Head Tennis Club in Charlottesville, VA.

This is the round of 16, as Clemson defeated UNC Wilmington and Purdue on Jan. 28 and 29, respectively, in the ITA Kickoff Weekend to advance.

Live scoring is available at ClemsonTigers.com for all matches involving the Tigers.

Clemson has reached the round of 16 in five of the last six seasons, and reached the Round of Eight last season after knocking off No. 5 UCLA in the third round.

If Clemson is able to advance, they will take on the winner of No. 3 and top-seeded Duke against Mississippi in the round of eight.

Last season, Clemson trailed 3-1 to the heavily-favored Bruins, before reeling off three straight singles wins to advance.

The Tigers are coming off a strong performance at the Clemson Winter Indoor Classic last weekend, as the team compiled a 17-1 singles record and a 9-0 doubles mark on their way to five singles flight championships and three doubles flight championships. As a team, Clemson boasts a cumulative 29-6 singles record in 2012.
