In Dabo's Words
"I'm just so excited for our team and our program. It's been 31 years since we've won 11 games at Clemson. It's been a steady process. And tonight these guys fought every frickin' play. They fought for every patch of grass. They overcame adversity. They played with a lot of love and toughness, and a desire to win. They played with a commitment that is uncommon.
"I'm just so proud of my football team and my staff. It's just great to be a Clemson Tiger. It's great to win the Chick-fil-A Bowl and hopefully take a top-10 finish back home and get ready for next year."
On his emotions after the last-second victory: "Just to see these seniors to finish the way they did, and to see this team not quit. This is a national championship team.
"We grew up tonight. I've been telling them that we're at the doorway of greatness, but sooner or later you have to step through it. You've got to take action. And tonight they just hung in there and we grew up.
"We had injuries. We were playing with a freshman tackle that hadn't played all year. Sammy Watkins goes out, we turn the ball over. And they just kept playing.
"Fourth and 16 and my frickin' quarterback mans up and makes plays - it's just awesome."
