Phillip Mollica remained on track two-thirds of the way through the PGA Tour Qualifying tournament Saturday at LaQuinta, Calif., as he shot a three-under par 69 and moved up to 24th place at 12-under par.
The top 25 finishers will earn cards to the 2013 PGA Tour.
Also in strong position is Danny Ellis, who shot a two-under 70 on Saturday and is 33rd position at 11-under.
Mollica (68-68-71-69) played his fourth round bogey-free, with birdies at No. 8, 12 and 16.
Ellis (70-69-68-70) birdied two of his final three holes to finish at two-under.
All six former Tigers playing in the tournament had under-par rounds on Saturday, led by Ben Martin's 66 and Stephen Poole's 67. Vince Hatfield and Brian Duncan both had 68s.
Martin vaulted from 120th place to 69th with a round that included seven birdies and one bogey.
Hatfield and Duncan are tied for 86th place at six-under after four rounds of play. Poole moved back to seven-par with his five-under 67, which included five birdies and no bogeys. He climbed from 162nd to 135th.
