— The Clemson women’s tennis team will play host to the Duckworth Fall Tennis Classic from Friday to Sunday at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center. The eight-flight singles and four-flight doubles championship features players from 11 schools, including the Tigers.

Klara Vyskocilova and Nelly Ciolkowski will represent Clemson in the event, with Ciolkowski playing flight one singles and Vyskocilova in flight two singles. The two will also play doubles together in the top flight.

The teams participating are Clemson, Georgia Southern, Mercer, Armstrong Atlantic, Charleston Southern, UT-Chattanooga, UT-Martin, Kennesaw State, Brenau, Anderson University, and Georgia Perimeter College.

Results will be available at the end of each day at Clemsontigers.com. Each day’s action is free to the public, and begin at 9:00 am on 12 of the courts around the tennis center.

The tournament pays tribute to Ed and Jane Duckworth of Atlanta, for whom the recent addition of the Pavilion at the tennis center is named. The Duckworths are very active around the program, and have made many contributions in the department.

Clemson is coming off recent action at the ITA Carolina Regional Championships, which Josipa Bek and Keri Wong claimed the doubles title. Ciolkowski also reached the finals of the 64-player singles main draw, her first such appearance.
