Clemson is ranked No. 25 in Collegiate Baseball’s 2012 preseason poll, which was released this week. It marks the 24th consecutive season that Clemson has earned a preseason top-25 ranking by one of the three major polls.

Florida enters the season ranked No. 1, followed by two-time defending NCAA champion South Carolina, Stanford, North Carolina and Texas.

Rounding out the top 10 are Texas A&M, Rice, Arkansas, Georgia Tech and TCU. Florida State is ranked 13th, Miami 14th and Virginia 33rd.

Clemson had a 43-20 overall record in 2011 and returns 21 lettermen, including All-ACC players Phil Pohl (UT) and Richie Shaffer (3B/1B). The Tigers will open the 2012 season on February 17 against UAB at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
