Clemson junior Kim Ruck finished in 90th place at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Monday at the LaVern Gibson Course in Terre Haute, IN
Ruck posted a time of 21:17.2 over the 6,000-meter course. The race was run in cold, windy conditions. The nationals wrapped up the 2010 cross country season for the Tigers and Ruck, who earned all-region honors for the second straight year.
Ruck was in the thick of the lead pack at the one-mile mark before several runners started to make their move toward the front as the race moved up the hill at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center.
Ruck’s 90th place effort came against a field of 253 runners on Monday. It was the third time this calendar year that Ruck competed at the NCAA Championships for cross country or track. She previously earned All-America honors in March with a seventh-place finish in the 5000 meters.
Clemson's indoor track & field season will get underway on Saturday, Dec. 4, at home with the Orange & Purple Winter Classic.
Final Home Game: Clemson 9, Furman 2
