Blue Hose edge Demon Deacons, 66-64 : Al'Lonzo Coleman scored 20 points and Khalid Mutakabbir made the game-winning layup with eight seconds remaining as Presbyterian nipped Wake Forest 66-64 Tuesday evening at the Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem.

The Blue Hose , 6-6 and coming off a victory over Auburn, led by as many as many as 14 points in the second half, but the Demon Deacons (6-6) staged a furious comeback, capped off by a J.T. Terrell three-pointer that tied the game at 64-64 with 43 seconds to play.

After Mutakabbir gave Presbyterian the lead, the Blue Hose, who had two fouls to give, fouled twice on the final Wake Forest possession, leaving the Demon Deacons without enough time to get a final shot off.

Gary Clark led Wake Forest with 14 points, with Travis McKie close behind with 12 points and nine rebounds. J.T. Terrell notched 11 points, all coming in the second half, and C.J. Harris chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Hurricanes down Oral Roberts in Las Vegas opener: Malcolm Grant scored 15 points to lead Miami to a 69-56 victory over Oral Roberts on Tuesday at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic.

DeQuan Jones added eight points and two blocks for his third-straight game with eight-or-more points.

Miami started the second half with an 11-2 run that erased a 33-28 halftime deficit and provided a 39-35 lead with 15:44 left.

Five Tar Heels score in double figures in rout of William & Mary: Dexter Strickland scored a career-high 19 points, and North Carolina had five players reach double figures in an 85-60 rout of William & Mary on Tuesday night.

Tyler Zeller and Leslie McDonald added 14 points apiece for the Tar Heels (8-4), who bounced back from a final-seconds loss to Texas by putting the Tribe away with two notable first half runs.

Harrison Barnes scored 13 points and fellow freshman Reggie Bullock added 11 for North Carolina, which shot nearly 44 percent and took advantage of some awful early shooting by the Tribe.

Kyle Gaillard scored a career-high 25 points on 11-of-14 shooting for William & Mary (4-7).
